Corsets

There are many reasons why I believe choosing a custom-made, couture corset is the right decision. Unlike many of the 'corset-style' tops and dresses available, you will not find sew-in plastic boning or single piece eyelets in my corsets. Neither, unlike corsets you might purchase in a shop or online, will you find that the busk pokes you when you sit down or that you have to hold your arms out at a strange angle because it is too high, or you have to cover your shoulders and restrain your dancing because it is too short....

No two bodies are the same and therefore I will draft a pattern just for you, as well as fit it personally. A full corset must be designed for your unique shape. It can be historically accurate or updated to cover the bust, include straps, come low over your hips or accommodate a full skirt. Perhaps you have a classic pear-shape or perhaps you are petite and full busted? None of that is a problem when you have a corset made for you. You can also choose the fabric: using a classic corsetry fabric base, you can go to town with a silk top layer or keep it simple, if it is worn as underwear. Prices for a reproduction victorian coutil corset start at £250, bridal or evening wear corsets start at £350.
